One of his favorite places to perch was on top of the fridge. He would sit there patiently waiting for the cat to come in for a drink and down he would come. Peck, peck, peck. The poor cat was terrified of him. Off she would slink as he sat on the edge of her bowl drinking. Then if you looked carefully the cat would be stalking him. Quiet as a mouse she slithered across the floor and just as she got up to the bowl, he would turn around and peck her on the nose.
The thing is we couldn’t keep T in his cage. We must have spent a small fortune on cages for the bird but he was the Houdini of birds. Finally we just gave up. T was finally lost to us when Ex left the door open and he flew off. Later we heard he was living in some trees a few blocks from us. He apparently started a new life terrorizing the local feathered friends.
