Blog Prompts: Beastly Connections

"What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts happens to man. All things are connected..." ~ Chief Seattle ~ Expand on this.

All it takes is to turn on the news to listen to news about global warming or the coming of another ice age. You don’t know which way to turn or begin to wonder if any of it is correct. One thing that is sure, though, is the loss of a species and how it may impact our lives. By constantly destroying without replacing plants and foliage we are losing plant, animal and insects that could possibly be the next cure for some of the diseases which ravish our planet each year.

We would do well to our ecology to heart and learn from past mistakes. But I don’t advocate carrying it to the extreme Greenpeace does. Temperance should be our guide.

It tears me up when I see the news about animals who were abused or poor sad ones needing adoption. My hubby is always distracting me during those stories because he knows how much I would love to take care of them all.
