Okay, okay, I haven't tried pet food (knowingly anyway, unknowingly who knows what my kids got me to eat). But I know someone who did.... And it was a total accident from what I hear. Seems my uncle got home one day when no one was around and was a bit hungry. Opening the fridge he saw a container that looked like it had left overs. Sure, that will do in a pinch. I would have loved to see his face when his wife told him it was dog food. Then again, he may have thought it rather tasty. As I recall he was the same one who ate chocolate covered bees.
